Elevator Details

The elevators below are replicas of existing structures and are accurate in dimensions with the following exception. Our printers are limited to printing a height of 114 scale ft in HO. We prefer to print these slip form behemoths in one piece, just like the real thing. That does not include the headhouse.  Since many are typically 120 ft tall, the models are just a bit short. All elevators can be printed in HO, N, or Z scale. We are willing to print in larger scales but they will have to be printed in pieces. Please contact us for more details.

The headhouse shown with each picture below is prototypical for that elevator. Headhouse’s can be swapped, just notify us of you desire.

A small fraction of the elevators we have created are shown below. We are willing to create other elevator models as well. Please contact us to “personalize” an elevator for your layout.

Modular Terminal Elevator 

 

This is a modular unit and different versions using this modular design have been created. Please contact us for options. The longest unit configured to date is just under 8′ long

The elevator measurements as displayed would be 350′ long and 200′ tall.

As displayed this model is 48 1/4″ long and stands 27 1/2″ tall. You are seeing 5 sections total….the two-bin tower section, 2 three-bin expansion sections, and 2 three-bin end sections. Can be expanded by adding/subtracting the middle sections. If done symmetrically (one on each side of the tower), adding the middle sections gets you another 20 3/4″.

The base unit consists of 3 sections total….the two-bin center tower section and 2 three-bin end sections. The base unit is 27 1/2″ (200 scale ft) long and stands 27 1/2″ tall (200 scale ft).

What do you do with those hard to landscape wall corners in your layout room? Add a corner elevator of course. The elevator measurements being modeled are 114′ tall (not including the headhouse), 48.25′ long and 43′ wide. The headhouse is 40′ tall,  22.5′ long, and 21′ wide.
